Near shore report before and after hurricane Arthur - Troy Crane - 07/12/14
Good half day fishing for Blues and Spanish along the beaches with schools of Red Drum showing up most days. All day trips have been very productive while live bait fishing and jigging artificial lures around wrecks and other structures for big Amberjack and the occasional Dolphin while trolling. A few cobia around but we look for that to pick up as we go into August. Lets go fishing !

Nice morning of fishing - Troy Crane - 06/05/14
Young Luke was a busy guy on this trip ! He spent the entire trip cranking in all of the fish and taking them off the hook as well. He's a great angler and was a lot of fun to fish with. Take a kid fishing, it makes for great memories.

A little bit of fishing. - Troy Crane - 04/14/14
The weather has been nice the past couple of days and we were fortunate to run a couple of half day trips. The water temps were warm along the beach, 64 degrees and that brought with it lots of life. Plenty of Sharks and some nice Trophy size Red Drum.
Looks like another run of bad weather is coming but hopefully it will be short lived. Summer is around the corner and fishing is getting off to a good start, don't wait to book you trip.

Happy New Year - Troy Crane - 01/02/14
Between the weather and some traveling over the holidays with the family we haven't been fishing. We are scheduled to fish this weekend and i'll post a report the first of the week. Striper fishing has been slow with just a few fish showing up this past week. It seems like everything is way behind schedule this winter but hopefully fishing will pick up with some of the more seasonal weather that's starting to arrive.
Good luck, Troy

Late summer fishing - Troy Crane - 09/14/13
September and October have always been a great time to fish on the obx and this year is no exception. We've had a great week of fishing on our half, three quarter and all day trips. Inshore, there has been a good run of Blues and Spanish along with some Cobia and False Albecore. The nearshore wrecks are holding Trigger fish and other bottom fish. Off the beach, the big Amberjack have shown up on the area wrecks as well as some nice Dolphin, an occasional Wahoo and Sail fish while trolling and we had some nice size Tile fish while deep drop fishing the other day. The White Marlin bite offshore is incredible once again this year with record catches being made. Come on down and do some fishing, the weather is great and the fishing is even better.
